NISsport, a specialty parts manufacturer for racing and enthusiast road cars has announced the release of a Universal Quick Release for Momo/Sparco steering wheels.

While developing the NISsport Sentra SE-R SCCA ITS racecar, we searched for a good, bolt-on quick release steering wheel hub. Up until now they simply have not existed.

This will fit any car that has a Momo/Sparco Steering wheel adapter hub - which is required. See our Bolt-on Quick Release for applications that do not require the Momo/Sparco adapter hub.

What you see here is a truly bolt-on, high quality quick release steering wheel hub adapter. The NISsport quick release hub adapter uses a splined shaft to virtually eliminate the slop in the mechanism that is encountered with cheaper hex shaft adapters. The steering wheel is released by pulling a ring on the hub towards the driver. This eliminates fumbling around for the release that you may encounter with a pin type adapter. This is the last thing you want to have happen in the event of a fire. The ring extends 360 degrees around the hub, so it can always be found without looking with the steering wheel in any position.

The NISsport steering wheel hub adapter will place the steering wheel approximately 2" closer to the driver for better leverage on the steering wheel. Most stock steering wheel locations are too far away for optimum leverage in an effort to keep the driver farther from the steering wheel in the event of an accident. With a proper SFI rated racing harness this is not as much of a concern. The quick release hub adapter will accommodate any MOMO or Sparco steering wheel.
