NISsport, a specialty parts manufacturer for racing and enthusiast road cars has announced the release of a new Gearbox Fill Plug Tool. 
 
The new Gearbox Fill Plug Tool is designed to make removal and installation of the fill plug for the Nissan SR20DE gearbox easy and to keep the plug from being stripped (or tools broken). 
 
Since the introduction of the SR20DE engine in 1991, racers and enthusiasts have struggled with the removal of the gearbox fill plug. The square drive required to remove the plug is a metric size and until now, no satisfactory solution has existed. 
 
The NISsport Gearbox Fill Plug Tool is made from 316 stainless steel and has a square drive on one end that fits snuggly inside the fill plug for no slipping and no stripping. The other end of the Gearbox Fill Plug Tool has a 17mm hex head, a size common to many bolts on the Nissan cars that use this gearbox.
